Dress #072: Flapper dress in blue Anteater instead of cutting each pieceThis hand stitched blue dress is based on a French evening gown by Anne & Thrse of Paris, from ca. 1925. The dress is made from Korean hanji tissue laid over solid hanji, to imitate the look of a sheer dress with a slip. Metallic blue tissue stands in for the beadworked panels of the original. It is stitched onto cold pressed 100% cotton paper. Like many dresses of the time period, the simple lines stood in contrast to the elaborate embellishments.
