This is exactly how Tricks describes the effect: A deck of playing cards is cut into two packets, to stack them face to face. A little shake is given to the deck, the packets of face up and face down cards are mixed alternately as if the are penetrated through each other. Then a card chosen by a spectator before hand is placed into the
